@pizza
We love to work with startups who want to break away from the ordinary and offer unique solutions. We had the pleasure to work with such a brand who are steadfast in their mission to revolutionise the casual dining segment, predominantly the pizza industry. @pizza have created a unique system that produces delicious, hand-crafted pizzas that can be cooked in 90 seconds. They approached us to shape up their crowdfunding campaign to raise capital to create UK’s first semi-permanent ‘pizza drive-thru’ restaurants. As a result, the @pizza crowdcube crowdfunding campaign raised a whopping £1,244,670 – 151% more than their initial target of £820,000! Here’s how Drop helped @pizza gain crowdfunding success on Crowdcube.
@pizza – The Brand
@pizza prides itself in creating delicious, hand-crafted pizzas that can be cooked in 90 seconds! With a highly scalable, high margin, low-cost business and operating model, the young brand has ranked No. 1 restaurant for pizza in Edinburgh and Birmingham, therefore confirming operational scalability.
The brand believes in creating great pizzas delivered by friendly people. Intending to develop future proof solutions post-lockdown, @pizza plans to use ‘semi-permanent’ restaurant units situated in high traffic density suburban car parks to drive growth. Back with the operational expertise of its founders, @pizza plans to tap into the UK pizza and Italian restaurant market, which is estimated worth £5.2bn.
@pizza Crowdfunding – How Drop supported them
Having seen growth opportunities after their successful growth and critical acclaim, @pizza approached us to create a crowdfunding video to attract potential investors for their crowdfunding campaign. They enrolled for the Fundraising Accelerator course which includes Crowdfunding Video Production, Online course, Campaign Manager and Investor Research. After offering three treatment variations, we made the final video which encapsulates the essence of the brand along with its mission and its resilience through the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Fundraising Accelerator Program provided @pizza the tools to execute a successful crowdfunding campaign Crowdcube.The Investor Research also helped them to find potential investors.
@pizza hit its crowdfunding target of £820,000 within a few days of launch. Towards the end of their campaign, the brand attracted 1471 investors on board, who helped them raise £1,244,670, thereby overfunding by 151%, more than their initial target.
